Apostasy is the rejection or dismissal of any religion or beliefs by any person. In Christianity, apostasy is the decline of faith in Christ by one who claims himself to be a Christian. Anyone who turns their hand to “apostasy” is known as an apostate.
Though a biblical theory, apostasy holds high importance to date as it did in the past. Here are a few references from the Bible verses to help one understand the concept of apostasy better.
What Does The Bible Say About Apostasy?

Hebrews 10:26-29 – All those who refused to follow the laws of Moses died a relentless death in the presence of only two or three witnesses. After all, how much more agonizing can someone’s damnation be, someone who walked over the Son of God, who regarded the blood of God’s covenant that blessed them as something unworthy and unholy, and who brought shame on the Spirit of grace?
Timothy 4:3-4 – There will be a time when people will no longer follow the reasonable dogmas and doctrines; instead, they will surround themselves with preachers who preach what their ears crave to hear in order to quench their own selfish thirsts. They will be deaf to the truth and discard myths.
