Honoring your parents is the first and foremost instruction of the Lord. This instruction comes with a promise. When children obey their parents and do what they say, things do not go haywire for them, and they automatically have a longer span of life.

Proverbs 29:17- When parents make their children disciplined and well-mannered, they automatically feel peaceful. This provides parents with the peace of their minds and makes their hearts exalt.
