Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”

You should be aware of imposters, do not let yourself get betrayed by them. And this is because if you are in the company of foul men, your morals and ethics will automatically get influenced. 

“Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.”

All the people who surround themselves with educated men full of wisdom also turn into wise people themselves, whereas, on the other hand, all those who blend with the foolish men cause nothing but self-destruction.

“But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with any who claim to be fellow believers but are sexually immoral or greedy, idolaters or slanderers, drunkards or swindlers. With such persons do not even eat.”

However, at this moment, I am penning it down to you that you are not supposed to keep company with any man who hides under the name of a brother when he is found culpable of sins like sexual turpitude or gluttony, or even if he indulges in drinking, idolatry, forgery or other malicious activities. You are not even supposed to dine with such a man. 

“Stay away from the foolish, for you will not find knowledge on their lips.”

You should forsake the company of a foolish man because you can never expect a single word of intelligence or knowledge to come out of his mouth.

“Do not make friends with the hot-tempered, do not associate with those who are easily angered.”

“Or you may learn their ways and get yourself ensnared.”

Do not try to nurture a relationship with a man who tends to get furious very easily, nor should you stay with an ill-humored person. This will lead you to adapt yourself to the ways of the abuser, and that is how you will end up getting intertwined in his trap. 

“I do not sit with the deceitful, nor do I associate with hypocrites.”

“I abhor the assembly of evildoers and refuse to sit with the wicked.”

I do not take a seat with people who practice fabrication, nor do I have any interest in keeping friendships with hypocrites and pretentious people. I strongly despise the gathering of sinners, and I refuse to blend in with the malicious crowd. 

“Blessed are those who do not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers.”

“But who delight in the law of the LORD and meditate on his law day and night.”

“They are like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither – whatever they do prospers.”

“Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.”

All those men who do not stretch their legs under the guidance and influence of the malicious crowd, or those who do not make themselves an obstruction in the path of trespassers, nor do they take a seat in the same place as that of a scoffer, they are the ones who are truly blessed. They find happiness in the constitution devised by the Almighty, and it is this holy constitution that they recite from dusk till dawn.

“By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also.”

Do not let yourself be unfairly associated with the heathens. This is because integrity can never be friends with a felony, nor can light foster comradeship with obscurity. 

“Now Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that he was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John.”

And loved ones, do not believe in every spirit that comes to you; rather, take time and probe whether they are sent by the Almighty or not; because several corrupted prophets are roaming around in the world.

“But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with any who claim to be fellow believers but are sexually immoral or greedy, idolaters or slanderers, drunkards or swindlers. With such persons do not even eat.”

“What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?”

“God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”

Tell me what profit I will gain by forming opinions about mere strangers. Aren’t the ones that reside inside the Church, the ones that have offered themselves to the Almighty, are to be taken into consideration first? And the Supreme Being draws a conclusion about each soul and advises against peeling off the wicked ones amongst us. 

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to us all. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

You have been prey to no such enticement that is already not common to mankind. The Almighty is true-hearted, and therefore he will not allow you to be tempted by anything that is beyond your capacity, but along with your temptations, the Lord will also provide you with its remedy, He will furnish you with a door to break free so that everything is eventually balanced and you can bear with it. 

“So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.”

“To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!”

“His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.”

Do not allow yourself to grow fond of the world or the materialistic objects of the world. If you happen to have affection for this world, you evidently do not possess any love for the Heavenly Father. For everything that belongs to the earth, all the longings of mankind and all the longings of the eyes and the vanity in ownership, all of it does not come from the Heavenly Father but from the earth. And this earth is slowly fading away with all of its longings, but those who follow the will of the Almighty survive forever. 

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

“In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Put all your faith in the Almighty, believe him from the bottom of your soul, and do not incline towards your individual comprehensions. Be conscious of him in every way possible, and you will see how he makes all your roads linear.   

“Away from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commands of my God!”

And part your ways from me, you evil sinners, so that I can hold on to the commandments of my Lord. 

“Like a muddied spring or a polluted well are the righteous who give way to the wicked.”

A dirty wellhead or a contaminated fountain is similar to a virtuous man who opts the wrong path under the influence of evil. 

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

Only iron can make another object of iron sharper, and similarly, only one person can enhance the qualities and virtues of another person.

“Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins people commit are outside their bodies, but those who sin sexually sin against their own bodies.”

Run away when it comes to sexual turpitude. Any sin committed by a person other than the sin of debauchery is a sin executed on the exterior of the body, but the man who is guilty of committing sexual turpitude sins against the body of his own.

“And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.”

If you ever sense that your right hand is instigating you to commit a sin, chop it off immediately and toss it away. And this is because it is always considered to be wiser to suffer the loss of one of your body parts rather than witness your entire body burn in hell.

“Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise.”

Wine is considered to be a mocker and a rich drink is said to be a wrangler, and those who are guided into wrongdoing and causing havoc by liquor, are none but fools.

“Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.”

Do not think that the Almighty is sluggish when it comes to the fulfillment of his pledge, as some count it as lethargic, but he is rather trying to be tolerant towards you, not longing for any soul to lose his life, but he wants that everyone should attain self-condemnation.

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

And begin by going after the kingdom of the Almighty and his integrity, and every other thing will come to you eventually. 

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”

And cover yourself with the whole armor plate of the Almighty so that you can fight against the conspiracies of evil. 

“Who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”

Who yearns for each and every soul to be rescued and to arrive at the understanding of the ultimate truth.

“The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.”

If we are completely honest to the Almighty about all our sins, he is trustworthy and equitable enough to pardon us and all our wrongdoings and purify us from all kinds of corruption.

“Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise.”

Pay close attention to your walking style, not as someone who is a fool but as someone wise and knowledgeable.

“Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”

All the people who put their faith in him are safe and protected, but all those who do not believe in him are doomed already because he has not put his faith in the name of the only descendant of the Almighty.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

You need not always act in accordance with this world, but you should transform accordingly as your mind undergoes modernization; by trying out, you can figure out the will of the Almighty, what is right and reasonable and ideal. 

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.”

And finally all my comrades, anything that is real, anything that is fair, anything that is pure, anything that is beautiful, anything that is beyond praise, if there happens to be any supremacy and if you find anything that deserves to be glorified, ponder upon these things. 

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

And I have conveyed these words to you that you might find solace in me. You will come across several adversities in the world. But have faith in me; I have conquered this world.

“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”

And you need not be afraid of the people who murder the body but cannot slaughter the soul. You should rather be scared of the people who can annihilate the body and soul as in hell.

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.”

He who is your true friend, will always show you affection, but a brother takes birth to bring adversities into your life.

“Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.”

And the marriage ceremony should be embraced with glory among everything else, and let the bed of union be considered pure and holy, for the Almighty will severely judge the sexually unethical and infidel.

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

Let no sinful word transcend the boundary of your lips and leave your mouth, but only what is right for setting up, as suits the event, that it might offer grace to all those who give an ear to it.

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. People reap what they sow.”

Always stay aware, do not allow yourself to get hoaxed by others; Nobody makes a mockery of the Almighty, for he will have to face the repercussions of all his actions, be it good or bad.
