“From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the LORD and called on the name of the LORD.”

And from that place, he walked towards the hills that were on the east of Bethel and set up his camp there. It was in the center with Ai on the east and Bethel on the west. At that place, he constructed an altar for the almighty Heavenly Father and summoned the good God’s name. 

“He called that place Bethel, though the city used to be called Luz.”

He named the place Bethel even though the city used to be known as Luz.

“The allotment for Joseph began at the Jordan, east of the springs of Jericho, and went up from there through the desert into the hill country of Bethel.”

The allocation for Joseph commenced at the place of Jordan, on the east of the springs of Jericho, and from there it proceeded through the desert into the nation of hills, Bethel. 

“The Israelites went up to Bethel and inquired of God. They said, “Who of us is to go up first to fight against the Benjamites?” The LORD replied, “Judah shall go first.”

The Israelites made their way towards Bethel and asked questions to the Lord, the almighty Heavenly Father. They questioned the Lord, who among them would have to take the first initiative to battle against the Benjamites. The Almighty Supreme Being responded that Judah was chosen to go first. 

“From year to year he went on a circuit from Bethel to Gilgal to Mizpah, judging Israel in all those places.”

Each and every year, he made a tour from Bethel to Gilgal first and then to Mizpah, forming an opinion of Israel in all those sites.

“The king of Makkedah, one; the king of Bethel, one”

The monarch of Bethel, one; the monarch of Makkedah, one.

“Saul chose three thousand men from Israel; two thousand were with him at Mikmash and in the hill country of Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan at Gibeah in Benjamin. The rest he sent back to their homes.”

And three thousand inhabitants of Israel were selected by Saul; he collected two thousand men with him at Michmash and in the nation of hills of Bethel, and one thousand of them were present at Gibeah in Benjamin with Jonathan. The remaining of the people were dismissed off to their houses. 

“She held court under the Palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites went up to her to have their disputes decided.”

She was in charge of the court under the Palm of Deborah in the middle of Ramah and Bethel in the nation of hills of Ephraim, and the Israelites made their way up to her to have their quarrels settled. 

“David sent it to those who were in Bethel, Ramoth Negev and Jattir”

David addressed it to all the people who lived in Bethel, Ramoth, and Jattir.

“The people went to Bethel, where they sat before God until evening, raising their voices and weeping bitterly.”

All the men made their way to Bethel, the place where they were seated in the presence of the good God, the almighty Heavenly Father, until it was the end of the day, magnifying the volume of their voices and sobbing painfully.

“Then you will go on from there until you reach the great tree of Tabor. Three men going up to God at Bethel will meet you there. One will be carrying three young goats, another three loaves of bread, and another a skin of wine.”

And at that moment you will carry on from that place till the time you get as far as the large tree of Tabor. There you will come across three men making their way up to the holy Lord, the almighty Heavenly Father in Bethel, to pay their homage. One of them would be bringing three loaves of bread, one would be born three young goats with himself, and the last one would be carrying a layer of wine.

“So will it happen to you, Bethel, because your wickedness is great. When that day dawns, the king of Israel will be completely destroyed.”

Therefore, do you think that it will come upon you, Bethel, as your sins and iniquities are quite significant. When such a morning begins to emerge, it would be the complete end of the monarch of Israel.

“The Benjamites came out to meet them and were drawn away from the city. They began to inflict casualties on the Israelites as before, so that about thirty of them fell in the open field and on the roads – the one leading to Bethel and the other to Gibeah.”

The Benjamites stepped in the light to encounter them and were dragged out of the city. They started to impose harm on the Israelites and subjected them to suffering like the previous time so that around thirty people dropped down in the exposed meadows and on the streets – the one that headed towards Bethel and the other one that led to Gibeah. 

“It went on from Bethel (that is, Luz), crossed over to the territory of the Arkites in Ataroth.”

It made its way from Bethel, that is Luz, and traveled up to the domain of the Arkites in Ataroth. 

“But look, there is the annual festival of the LORD in Shiloh, to the north of Bethel, and east of the road that goes from Bethel to Shechem, and to the south of Lebonah.”

But pay close attention to it, you will see that there is the yearly celebration of the holy Lord, the almighty Heavenly Father in Shiloh, which is situated on the north of Bethel, on the south of Lebonah, and on the east of the highway that runs from Bethel to Shechem. 

“Beth Arabah, Zemaraim, Bethel”

Bethel, Beth Arabah, Zemaraim. 

“Then Moab will be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed when they trusted in Bethel.”

And after that, Moab would be embarrassed by Chemosh, as Israel was embarrassed at the time they had put their faith in Bethel. 

“From there it crossed to the south slope of Luz (that is, Bethel) and went down to Ataroth Addar on the hill south of Lower Beth Horon.”

From that place, it made its way to the south inclination of Luz, that is Bethel, and proceeded down towards the Ataroth Adder on the mount located south of Lower Beth Huron. 

“Jacob and all the people with him came to Luz (that is, Bethel) in the land of Canaan.”

Jacob and each and every person came along with him to Luz, that is Bethel, on the grounds of Canaan. 

“Now the house of Joseph attacked Bethel, and the LORD was with them.”

And at the present moment, the ethnic groups of Joseph assaulted Bethel, and the good God, the almighty Heavenly Father, was by their side.

“One he set up in Bethel, and the other in Dan.”

One of them was established by him in Dan, and the other one was set up in Bethel.

“On the day I punish Israel for her sins, I will destroy the altars of Bethel; the horns of the altar will be cut off and fall to the ground.”

And the day that I choose to teach Israel a lesson for her transgressions, I will knock down the altars of Bethel; the horns of the altar will be broken off, and it will drop down to the soil. 

“Not a man remained in Ai or Bethel who did not go after Israel. They left the city open and went in pursuit of Israel.”

And not a single person stayed in Bethel or Ai who did not chase Israel. They abandoned the entire town completely exposed and made their way to hunt down Israel. 

“I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar and where you made a vow to me. Now leave this land at once and go back to your native land.”

I am the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of Bethel, the place where you had blessed a pillar and the place where you had uttered a promise to me. And abandon this soil right away at this moment and make your way back to your native soil. 

“Their lands and settlements included Bethel and its surrounding villages, Naaran to the east, Gezer and its villages to the west, and Shechem and its villages all the way to Ayyah and its villages.”

Their property and colonization had taken Bethel into consideration along with the villages in its neighborhood, Gezer and its villages were located to its west, Narran located to its east, and Shechem and its villages went up to Ayyah and its villages. 

“Don’t prophesy anymore at Bethel, because this is the king’s sanctuary and the temple of the kingdom.”

You need not continue your predictions in Bethel any longer, and it is because of the fact that this is the refuge of the monarch and the place of worship for the entire province. 

“He instituted a festival on the fifteenth day of the eighth month, like the festival held in Judah, and offered sacrifices on the altar. This he did in Bethel, sacrificing to the calves he had made. And at Bethel he also installed priests at the high places he had made.”

He sowed the seeds of a celebration on the fifteenth morning of the eighth month, similar to the celebration that took place in Judah, and put forward offerings on the altar. This was carried out by him in Bethel, making a sacrifice to the calves he had assembled. And he had also appointed clergymen at the lofty places he had constructed at Bethel. 

“Go to Bethel and sin; go to Gilgal and sin yet more. Bring your sacrifices every morning, your tithes every three years.”

Make your way to Bethel and commit transgression. Then make your way to Gilgal and commit some more transgression. Fetch your offerings each and every dawn, your tithes every three years. 

“The descendants of the Benjamites from Geba lived in Mikmash, Aija, Bethel and its settlements.”

The successors of the Benjamites from Geba resided in Aija, Bethel, Mikmash, and its colonization. 

“Then all the Israelites, the whole army, went up to Bethel, and there they sat weeping before the LORD. They fasted that day until evening and presented burnt offerings and fellowship offerings to the LORD.”

And at that moment, each and every person of Israel, the entire military force, made their way up to Bethel, and there they seated themselves and wept in front of the almighty Heavenly Father, the holy Lord. They were fasting on that morning till the end of the day and handed over burnt sacrifices and friendship sacrifices to the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being. 

“Then all the Israelites, the whole army, went up to Bethel, and there they sat weeping before the LORD. They fasted that day until evening and presented burnt offerings and fellowship offerings to the LORD.”

“And the Israelites inquired of the LORD.”

“With Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, ministering before it.) They asked, “Shall we go up again to fight against the Benjamites, our fellow Israelites, or not?” The LORD responded, “Go, for tomorrow I will give them into your hands.”

And each and every person of Israel asked questions to the good God, the almighty Heavenly Father. In those times, the holy ark of the contract of the almighty Heavenly Father was present there, with Phinehas, a descendant of Eleazar, who was the descendant of Aaron, tending in front of it. They asked the Lord whether they should once more make their way to battle against the Benjamites, their companion Israelites, or not. The good God, the Supreme Being, replied to them that they could proceed; on the next day, he would hand them over to those Israelites. 

“The people of Bethel had sent Sharezer and Regem-Melek, together with their men, to entreat the LORD.”

All the inhabitants of Bethel had addressed Sharezer and Regem-Melek, hand in hand with their people, to request to the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe.

“Now Deborah, Rebekah’s nurse, died and was buried under the oak below Bethel. So it was named Allon Bakuth.”

And at that moment, Deborah, the attendant of Rebekah, had perished, and her body was buried beneath the oak tree located on the outskirts of Bethel. Therefore it was given the name of Allon Bakuth. 

“He struggled with the angel and overcame him; he wept and begged for his favor. He found him at Bethel and talked with him there.”

“The LORD God Almighty, the LORD is his name!”

He fought with the angel and then defeated him; he shed tears and pleaded for his kindness. He came across him at Bethel and had a word with him at that place – he is known as the Lord, the good God, the almighty Heavenly Father, and the Supreme Being of all creations. 

And therefore among all the clergymen, one of them who had been banished from the lands of Samaria, turned up to reside in Bethel and educated the inhabitants about the ways in which they could glorify and pray to the holy Lord, the almighty Heavenly Father. In spite of that, all the general groups created their personal gods in the number of cities that they inhabited and established them in the temples and holy places that the townspeople of Samaria had constructed at the lofty places. 

“From the Negev he went from place to place until he came to Bethel, to the place between Bethel and Ai where his tent had been earlier.”

“And where he had first built an altar. There Abram called on the name of the LORD.”

From the Negev, he made his way from one place to another till the time he arrived at Bethel, to the spot in the middle of Bethel and Ai where his camp had been set up previously and where he had earlier constructed an altar. It is at this place that Abram called out the name of the holy Lord, the almighty Heavenly Father, and prayed to him. 

“When they sent men to spy out Bethel.”

When they had dispatched people to keep an eye on Bethel, which was previously known as Luz. 

“Do not seek Bethel, do not go to Gilgal, do not journey to Beersheba. For Gilgal will surely go into exile, and Bethel will be reduced to nothing.”

You need not go after Bethel, you need not make your way to Gilgal, you need not travel to Beersheba. And this is because Gilgal will definitely go into banishment, and Bethel will be destroyed into ashes.
