Charity is the act of willingly offering help to someone in their times of need out of sheer kindness and generosity. Charity is considered to be a humanitarian deed and often turns out to be immensely beneficial for the sick, poor, physically or mentally challenged, and socially backward classes. Here are a few Bible verses about charity.
Bible Verses about Charity
Acts 20:35
“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Among all the things that I have brought to your notice, most significant is how by working day and night in this manner, we are able to provide assistance to the poor and fragile, and we should also not forget the words uttered by the Son of God, Lord Jesus Christ, the way he said that to give is a more divine and joyous feeling than to get something in return.
Hebrews 13:16
“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
You should not fail to do what is morally right and to distribute what you possess among the others, and this is because of the fact that offerings like these are very satisfying to the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe.
Matthew 6:1
“Be careful not to do your ‘acts of righteousness’ in front of others, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 6:2
“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.”
You should be cautious when you are carrying out your integrity and morality in front of other people so that you can make yourself noticeable in their eyes because in that case, you will not receive any blessings from the almighty Heavenly Father, who resides in the paradise above.
Proverbs 19:17
“Those who are kind to the poor lend to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.”
All the men who show their generosity towards the needy and the weak are actually doing good to the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe, and the Lord will surely pay them back for their acts of morality.
Luke 21:1
“As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury.”
Luke 21:2
“He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins.”
Luke 21:3
“Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others.”
Luke 21:4
“All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”
When the Son of God, Lord Jesus Christ, lifted his face, he saw the wealthy men placing their presents into the offering box, and at the same time, he also witnessed that an underprivileged widow dropped in two copper coins. And then he exclaimed that with complete honesty, he is bound to say that the poor widow had donated more than any of the rich men who had dropped in their donations. And this was because of the fact that all of them had made their contributions out of their affluence, whereas she had selflessly provided everything she was in possession of, in spite of her state of poverty. She did not put herself before the Lord.
John 3:17
“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
However if any person possesses the worldly goods and sees that his companions are in the necessity, and in spite of that he does not open his heart to him, how do you think the love of the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe, stays in his soul?
Corinthians 9:7
“Who serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its grapes? Who tends a flock and does not drink of the milk?”
And each and every man must offer what he has already planned in his head to give, he must not give anything unwillingly or under any kind of pressure, because the good God, the almighty Heavenly Father, is very appreciative of a happy philanthropist.
Luke 12:33
“Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.”
Put all your belongings on sale, and hand it over to the poor and underprivileged. Furnish yourself with a bag of money that stays evergreen, with a priceless treasure in the paradise above that is not found to be deficient, where no robber makes any appearance, and no moth destroys its life.

Luke 6:38
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
If you provide things to others, the almighty Heavenly Father will furnish you with the things that you desire. An ethical step, held down, quaked together, racing over, will be placed into your thighs. And this is because of the fact that the course of action that you choose to carry out will be observed to pay you back.

And if I possess the capability to predict things, and decipher each and every riddle and know about everything, and if I believe in all things such as believing in the fact that mountains can be removed, but I am devoid of love, I am of no use.

“But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing”
And in that account, when you donate something to the underprivileged, do not blare trumpets and make a big noise about it, as is done by the pretentious people in the synagogue and on roads, in the hope that they may be applauded by others.
Corinthians 13:8
“Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”
You will never run out of love if it’s true. If you talk about predictions, they will eventually expire; considering the matter of various speculations, they will gradually come to an end; if wisdom is taken into regard, it will wear out with time.
Peter 4:8
“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”
