“The Lord detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with him.”

This verse emphasizes the importance of honesty in business and commerce. Using accurate and fair measures is pleasing to God, while dishonesty, such as using rigged scales, is detestable.

“Do not steal. Do not lie. Do not deceive one another.”

This verse is a straightforward commandment against cheating and deceit. It encourages people to be truthful and not to engage in any form of dishonesty, whether it’s stealing, lying, or deceiving others.

“Honest scales and balances belong to the Lord; all the weights in the bag are of his making.”

Here, the verse emphasizes that God values fairness and honesty. Just as accurate scales are His creation, so should our dealings with others be characterized by honesty and integrity.

“You shall not steal.”

This is one of the Ten Commandments, a foundational set of moral and ethical guidelines in the Bible. It straightforwardly prohibits theft, which is a form of cheating or dishonesty, and reinforces the importance of respecting the property of others.

“So then, if you know the good you ought to do and don’t do it, you sin.”

And all the people who are aware of the morally correct things and still choose to take up the wrong path are intentionally sinning. 

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. People reap what they sow.”

“Those who sow to please their sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; those who sow to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”

You should make sure that no one misleads you.

“The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.”

The lips that lie are a disgrace to the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe, but those who are loyal and honest in nature, are bliss to him. 

Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

And the auspicious occasion of marriage should be regarded as a glory amidst all the people of the world, and let the marriage bed be pure and holy, for the good God, the almighty Heavenly Father, holds a very low opinion of all those who commit adultery. 

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.”

“But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

You have perceived with your ears that no one should indulge in adultery. But I will say to you that any person who looks at a woman with lecherous intentions has already committed the sin of adultery with her in his heart. 

“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.”

All the people who walk around with righteousness happen to be safe and sound, whereas those who take the wrong path and resort to immoral means are likely to get caught. 

“Better the poor whose walk is blameless than a fool whose lips are perverse.”

A person who suffers through destitution and yet makes his livelihood in righteous ways is far better than a person who is unscrupulous in everything he says and therefore is a fool. 

“But a man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself.”

The person indulges in fornication lacks morality and consciousness. All the people who commit adultery cause damage to themselves. 

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. People reap what they sow.”

“Those who sow to please their sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; those who sow to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”

The almighty Heavenly Father is not laughed at because no matter what seeds a person plants, he will receive his fruits according to his harvest. And this is because of the fact that the person who plants seeds for himself only will gain nothing but deceit from his own flesh, but the person who invests in the name of the Holy Spirit will be blessed with eternal life by the heavenly Spirit himself. 

“Do not say, “I’ll pay you back for this wrong!” Wait for the LORD, and he will avenge you.”

It would be best if you never said that you will take revenge on the wicked. Be patient and have faith in the almighty Heavenly Father to do justice; he will pay you back. 

“Do to others as you would have them do to you.”

And all the things that you desire to be done to you by others do the same to them. Treat others in the way that you wish to be treated. 

“Better the poor whose walk is blameless than the rich whose ways are perverse.”

A penniless man with morals and virtues planted in his heart is more valuable than a wealthy person with no ethics, who often resorts to unscrupulous means to earn his living. 

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

You should avoid all kinds of the temptation of money, and try to find satisfaction in the things you own, because the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe, will always be by your side, no matter where you go. He will never abandon you in your times of need. 

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Did you not hear my orders? You should be fearless and bold at all times. You need not be afraid of anything or feel distressed about any event, and this is because of the fact that the good God, the almighty Heavenly Father, will always be by your side, no matter where you go. 

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”

“So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?“

“And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?”

A person who is honest about the small things is also honest about the more important matters. Still, a person who is dishonest and unfaithful in petty cases will also turn out to be disloyal when entrusted with jobs of greater significance. 

Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.

If a person considers himself devout and does not keep control over what he says but cheats his soul, then his faith and religion are useless.  

“Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices.”

You should not tell lies to each other, as it is clearly evident that you have scared off your older self by practicing deception and falsehood. 

“For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person – such a person is an idolater – has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.”

And on that account, you can be positive about this one fact, that all the people who commit adultery and are immoral, or he who is rapacious, that is, an idolater, has no place in the kingdom of the almighty Heavenly Father and the Son of God, Lord Jesus Christ. 

“You shall not commit adultery.”

Adultery is a sin and must not be performed by anyone, for the almighty Heavenly Father shall severely punish him who commits fornication. 

“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

And every time you join your hands in prayer, pardon anyone if you have any grudges piled up against them, so that the good God, the almighty Heavenly Father in paradise, showers you with His mercy each time you commit a sin. 

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Do not just blindly march to the beat of the drums of this world, but allow yourself to undergo changes by the modernization of your thoughts, so that by close examination, you may be able to perceive the desires of the good God, the almighty Heavenly Father; you may be able to figure out what is morally correct and justifiable and ideal. 

“Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.”

“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

“Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.”

On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

You need not pay back wickedness with wickedness, but you should think of carrying out deeds that are morally correct in the eyes of every person on Earth. If it is plausible, as it is completely in your hands, try to live in peace and harmony with everyone around you. 

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

And on that account, each and every person on earth has committed sins, and therefore they fail to live up to the blessings of the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe. 

“Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.”

“Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.”

“You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.”

“But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.”

“Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices.”

“And have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.”

And therefore, you have to do away with all the worldly atrocities in you, such as dishonesty, immorality, desire, lust for wickedness, and greed, that is, idolatry. And as a consequence of these, the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe, will unleash his fury. You have made your way through all these abominations while living amidst them. But now, you are expected to end all of it: vexation, rage, spite, derogation, and use of indecent language. 

“The perverse stir up dissension, and gossips separate close friends.“

A treacherous and disloyal person always circulates disharmony and causes conflicts among people, and a gossip-monger provokes intimate friends to drift apart.

“Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.”

“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

“Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.”

On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

You should not be defeated by evil, but you should defeat evil with goodness. 

“But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.”

But I will say to you that all the men who split up with their partners, other than based on her dishonesty, compel her to commit fornication, and all the men who tie the knot with a divorced lady, indulge in adultery as well. 

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.”

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Allow all the resentments, rage, fury, tumult, and derogation to be kept at bay from you, along with all the spite. You should treat them with benevolence and be compassionate and forgiving towards each other, as the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe, and the Son of God, Lord Jesus Christ, have showered their forgiveness upon all the people of the earth.

An inaccurate balance is a disgrace to the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe, but an impartial balance is a joy to the Holy Lord. 

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”

“So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?”

“And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?”

And on that account, if you have not been loyal to the malignant riches, who will trust you with the responsibility of the true wealth? And if you have not been loyal about the possessions of others, who will show you loyalty in handing over that which is yours? 

“Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.“

“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

“Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.”

Darling, you should not inflict harm upon anyone to take revenge but have faith in the wrath of the almighty Heavenly Father, for it has been penned down that the Holy Lord has said that none but he is in charge of all sorts of retribution, and he will pay everyone back accordingly.

On the other hand, the heavenly Lord also added that if your rival is starving, you should furnish him with food; if he needs a drink, you should quench his thirst with water; and by doing so, you will be going out of your way to cause him remorse.
