Bible Verses about Curses
Number 14:18
“The LORD is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.”
The Lord is gracious kind-hearted, slow to wrath, and abounding in lovingkindness, overlooking iniquity and trespass, but he will not forgive the wicked, visiting the sins of the fathers on the offspring to the remaining three generations.
Ezekiel 18:20
“The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them.”
The sinner’s soul will perish. The child will not be condemned for the faults of his Father, and the parent will not be penalized for the misdeeds of his Son.
Exodus 20:5
“You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me.”
You shall not adore or capitulate to them because I, the Creator your Lord, am a vengeful God who visits the sins of the ancestors on the offspring to the remaining three descendants of those who reject me.
Deuteronomy 24-1
“If a man marries a woman who becomes displeasing to him because he finds something indecent about her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house.”
Fathers shall not be hanged for the sake of their offspring, and youngsters should not be executed for the sake of their dads. Every individual will be hanged because of his or her crime.
Galatians 3:13
