Ebenezer is known to be a place where a war between the people of Israel and the Philistine occurred, and its reference can be found in the texts penned by Samuel. It is said that one can reach Ebenezer from Shiloh in less than one day if he is walking at a normal pace.
However, the place where it is exactly located is not known by the people of the current times with sufficient certitude, as some associate it with Beit Iksa and others with Dayr Aban.
What Does Ebenezer Mean in the Bible?
Samuel 7:12
Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far the LORD has helped us.”
And after that, Samuel got hold of a rock and laid it down between Mizpah and Shen. And he called it by the name Ebenezer and said to himself that the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe, had finally rescued us.
Samuel 5:1
“After the Philistines had captured the ark of God, they took it from Ebenezer to Ashdod.”
And on that account, the people of Philistine had got hold of the ark of the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe, they displaced it to Ashdod from Ebenezer.
Samuel 4:1
“And Samuel’s word came to all Israel. Now the Israelites went out to fight against the Philistines. The Israelites camped at Ebenezer, and the Philistines at Aphek.”
And on that account, all the things Samuel said had spread all over Israel. And as a result, the people of Israel made their way to pick up a fight with the people of Philistine. The people of Israel set up their tents at Ebenezer, and the men of Philistine placed their camps at Aphek.
Genesis 1:1
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
And the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe, had constructed the paradise and the planet earth, at the very beginning of time.
Revelation 21:20
“The fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.”
And on that account, in the correct, they were as follows, the fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.
Job 2:11
“When Job’s three friends, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite, heard about all the troubles that had come upon him, they set out from their homes and met together by agreement to go and sympathize with him and comfort him.”
And on that account, at the time that all the three companions of Job, that is, Zophar the Naamathite, Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, had listened to each and every difficulty and hardship that had occurred in his life, they made their way out of their houses and decided to get together and then go to show him compassion and offer him condolences.

Revelation 1:11

And on that account, Aaron tied his knot in holy matrimony with Elisheba, the ward of Amminadab and the sibling of Nahshon, and she gave birth to four sons of Aaron, namely, Ithamar and Eleazar, Abihu and Nadab.
Luke 3:1
“In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar – when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, Herod tetrarch of Galilee, his brother Philip tetrarch of Iturea and Traconitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene.”
And therefore, during the fifteenth year of the rule of Tiberius Caesar – at the time Pontius Pilate was the administrator of Judea, Herod was one of the four rulers of Galilee, his sibling Philip another among the four rulers of Traconitis and Iturea, and Lysanias the other of the four rulers of Abilene.
Genesis 10:10
“The first centers of his kingdom were Babylon, Uruk, Akkad and Kalneh, in Shinar.”
And on that account, the earliest hubs of dominions were Akkad, Babylon, Uruk, and Kalneh, in Shinar.
Genesis 14:1
“At the time when Amraphel was king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Kedorlaomer king of Elam and Tidal king of Goyim.”
And on that account, it was during the time that Arioch ruled over Ellasar, Amraphel was the monarch of Shinar, Kedorlaomer was the monarch of Elam, and the Tidal king of Goyim.
Deuteronomy 14:5
“The deer, the gazelle, the roe deer, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope and the mountain sheep.”
And on that account, those animals were the antelope, the roe deer, the deer, the mountain sheep, the ibex, the gazelle, and the wild goat.
Ruth 1:2
“The man’s name was Elimelek, his wife’s name was Naomi, and the names of his two sons were Mahlon and Kilion. They were Ephrathites from Bethlehem, Judah. And they went to Moab and lived there.”
And on that account, that male was known by the name of Elimelek, his spouse was known by the name of Naomi, and he had two children who were known by the names of Kilion and Mahlon. They happened to be Ephrathites from Bethlehem, Judah. And they made their way to Moab and started living there.
Nehemiah 1:1
“The words of Nehemiah son of Hakaliah: In the month of Kislev in the twentieth year, while I was in the citadel of Susa.”
And therefore, all the things that were said by Nehemiah, the descendant of Hakaliah, stated that it had taken place during the month of Kislev in the twentieth year when he was present at the fort of Susa.
Timothy 4:10
“That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.”
And on that account, Demas was so fond of this world, he left me all alone and made his way to Thessalonica. Crescens had made his way to Galatia, while Titus made his way to Dalmatia.
Esther 1:1
“This is what happened during the time of Xerxes, the Xerxes who ruled over 127 provinces stretching from India to Cush.”
And on that account, these are all the things that had occurred during the period of Xerxes, the renowned Xerxes who had reigned over about a hundred and twenty-seven states that expanded from Cush to the lands of India.
Samuel 4:10
“So the Philistines fought, and the Israelites were defeated and every man fled to his tent. The slaughter was very great; Israel lost thirty thousand foot soldiers.”
And on that account, the people of Philistine took part in the battle, and the people of Israel had been brought to their knees, and all the men ran back to their camps. The massacre that took place caused a huge amount of loss of human lives. There were thirty thousand warriors of Israel battling on their feet who had been killed.
Daniel 1:7
“The chief official gave them new names: to Daniel, the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abednego.”
And the head officer proposed some new names to them, such as the renamed Daniel as Belteshazzar; he gave the name Shadrach to Hananiah; to Azariah, he proposed the name Abednego; and he offered the name Meshach to Mishael.
Judges 4:6
She sent for Barak son of Abinoam from Kedesh in Naphtali and said to him, “The LORD, the God of Israel, commands you: ‘Go, take with you ten thousand men of Naphtali and Zebulun and lead them up to Mount Tabor.”
And therefore, she had called for Barak, the descendant of Abinoam from Kedesh in Napthali, and she told him that the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe who was the holy Lord of the people of Israel, had commanded him to make his way, taking ten thousand men of Zebulun and Naphtali with himself, and he had told him to escort them up to the Mount Tabor.
Kings 19:37
On a certain day, at the time, that he was praying to the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe, in the place of worship of Nisrok, two of his descendants known by the names of Sharezer and Adrammelek, put an end to his life with a dagger, and they ran away to a place called Ararat. And another descendant of his, known by the name of Esarhaddon, replaced him as a monarch.
Ezekiel 23:4
“The older was named Oholah, and her sister was Oholibah. They were mine and gave birth to sons and daughters. Oholah is Samaria, and Oholibah is Jerusalem.”
The elder one was known by the name of Oholah, and her sibling was called Oholibah. They belonged to me, and they bore both male and female children in their wombs. Oholibah belonged to Jerusalem, whereas Oholah was from Samaria.
Kings 10:11
“Hiram’s ships brought gold from Ophir; and from there they brought great cargoes of almugwood and precious stones.”
And on that account, the vessels of Hiram were loaded with gold from Ophir; and it is from that place where they had fetched a huge amount of merchandise goods such as valuable gemstones and almug wood.
Jeremiah 1:1
“The words of Jeremiah son of Hilkiah, one of the priests at Anathoth in the territory of Benjamin.”
And on that account, These were the things that had been said by Jeremiah, the descendant of Hilkiah, who was one amongst the other clergymen at Anathoth in the province of Benjamin.
Genesis 10:2
“The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshek and Tiras.”
And therefore the descendants of Shem were: Aram, Ashur, Lud, Elam, and Arphaxad.
Ezra 4:7
“And in the days of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeel and the rest of his associates wrote a letter to Artaxerxes. The letter was written in Aramaic script and in the Aramaic language.”
And therefore, during the time when Artaxerxes was still the ruler, Mithredath, the monarch of Persia, Tabeel, Bishlam, and the other companions of Artaxerxes, addressed a letter to him. The letter had been penned down in Aramaic language and Aramaic handwriting.
Acts 20:4
“He was accompanied by Sopater son of Pyrrhus from Berea, Aristarchus and Secundus from Thessalonica, Gaius from Derbe, Timothy also, and Tychicus and Trophimus from the province of Asia.”
And on that account, he was chaperoned by Secundus and Aristarchus from Thessalonica, Trophimus and Tychicus from the states of Asia, Sopater who was the descendant of Pyrrhus from Berea, and Timothy and Gaius from Derbe.
Acts 19:24
“A silversmith named Demetrius, who made silver shrines of Artemis, brought in no little business for the skilled workers there.”
And therefore, a silversmith known by the name of Demetrius, who constructed temples and holy places of Artemis purely out of silver, was the sole reason behind the growth of trade and business for the artisans and craftspersons residing in that place.
Genesis 41:45
“Pharaoh gave Joseph the name Zaphenath-Paneah and gave him Asenath daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, to be his wife. And Joseph went throughout the land of Egypt.”
Pharaoh presented Joseph with the title of Zaphenath-Paneah and also presented him with the ward of Potiphera, the clergyman of On, to make her his spouse, and she was known by the name of Asenath. And therefore, Joseph made his way all over the soil of Egypt.

And on that account, he set out on his journey, and on his path, he came across an ineffectual man belonging from Ethiopia, who happened to hold the post of a significant officer entrusted with the responsibility of all the riches and wealth of the Kandake, that is, the queen of Ethiopia. This person had made his way to Jerusalem to join his hands in prayer before the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe.
Acts 2:9
“Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia.”
And on that account, they were the Elamites, the Parthians, and the Medes; they were also citizens of Asia, Judea, Pontus, Mesopotamia, and Cappadocia.
Leviticus 11:5
“The hyrax, though it chews the cud, does not have a divided hoof; it is unclean for you.”
And in spite of the fact that the hyrax further masticates the partly digested food, it does not possess a separation between its feet; and this it is not pure for you.
Ecclesiastes 1:1
“The words of the Teacher, son of David, king in Jerusalem.”
And those were the sayings of the Teacher, the descendant of David, ruler of Jerusalem.
Exodus 30:34
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Take fragrant spices – gum resin, onycha and galbanum – and pure frankincense, all in equal amounts,”
And on that account, the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe, told Moses that he should get hold of sweet-smelling ingredients like galbanum, gum resin, onycha, and fresh frankincense, and he had also mentioned that each of the items should be in equal quantity.
Zechariah 6:14
“The crown will be given to Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah and Hen son of Zephaniah as a memorial in the temple of the LORD.”
And on that account, the diadem of honor will be presented to Jedaiah, Heldai, Tobijah, and Hen, the descendant of Zephaniah, as a token of remembrance in the holy place of worship of the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe.
Job 9:9
“He is the Maker of the Bear and Orion, the Pleiades and the constellations of the south.”
And therefore, He, who is the almighty Heavenly Father, the Supreme Being of all the universe, is the creator of the Pleiades, the Orion, and Bear, and the constellations of the southern hemisphere.
Acts 6:5
“This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism.”
And on that account, this particular idea provided satisfaction to the entire union. They selected Stephan, who was a person filled with beliefs and whose soul was with the Divine Spirit; besides him, they also selected Parmenas, Philip, Timon, Procorus, Nicanor, and Nicolas from Antioch, who transformed his faith into Judaism.
Acts 2:29
“Brothers and sisters, we all know that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day.”
And on that account, the fellow men of Israel, I can say it to you with utter confidence that the elderly David has departed this life and his body has been laid to rest, and his grave exists in this very site till date.
