“Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.”

To a greater extent, even a half-witted person, when he keeps his mouth shut and remains silent, looks clever; when he does not part his lips, he seems to have made a judicious decision. 

“Let them sit alone in silence, for the LORD has laid it on them.”

Allow him to be seated all by himself and remain hushed since the almighty, Heavenly Father has placed it upon him.

“When you did these things and I kept silent, you thought I was exactly like you. But I now arraign you and set my accusations before you.”

These are the acts that you have carried out, and I have kept my mouth sealed all along; you were under the impression that I happened to be just like you, that I shared thoughts similar to that of yours; but you will be hauled over the coals by me, and I will also enunciate the matter in order right in front of your eyes.

“But if he remains silent, who can condemn him? If he hides his face, who can see him? Yet he is over individual and nation alike”

When He, the almighty Heavenly Father, has kept his lips sealed, who at such a time can cause condemnation? And at a time when He blocks out his countenance, who can succeed in observing him? That is, in consideration of man as well as the country?

“For a long time I have kept silent, I have been quiet and held myself back. But now, like a woman in childbirth, I cry out, I gasp and pant.”

I have not spoken any words and kept my mouth closed for a very long period of time; I have remained calm and imposed limits on myself. But now, like a woman at the time of her labor pains, I will wail, puff, and pant. 

“Whom have you so dreaded and feared that you have not been true to me, and have neither remembered me nor taken this to heart? Is it not because I have long been silent that you do not fear me?”

And tell me, who were you anxious about and afraid of when told a lie, and did not bear me in mind, nor did you pay any heed to me? Had I not kept quiet for a very long period of time, so are you not afraid of me? 

“Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around him a tempest rages.”

May our Lord, the almighty Heavenly Father arrive, and not maintain peace anymore; how the fire destroyed everything in front of Him, and it is very tumultuous on all the sides of him.

“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.”

And in the interests of Zion, I will not keep my mouth sealed, and for the well-being of Jerusalem, I will remain silent, up to the time that her integrity proceeds forward as the way light travels so briskly, and her redemption like a blazing lamp.

“See, it stands written before me: I will not keep silent but will pay back in full; I will pay it back into their laps – “

“Both your sins and the sins of your ancestors,” says the LORD. “Because they burned sacrifices on the mountains and defied me on the hills, I will measure into their laps the full payment for their former deeds.”

And the almighty Heavenly Father instructed to observe very closely, that it has been penned down in front of him, he will not choose to keep his lips sealed, but he will pay back; he will also pay it back into their hearts, both, their acts of immorality as well as the immoral acts of theirs fathers together. And this is because of the fact that they have set the fragrance on fire, on the mountains, and held him in contempt on the hills, and hence he will compute their previous labor into their hearts.

“Of David. To you, LORD, I call; you are my Rock, do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you remain silent, I will be like those who go down to the pit.”

A Psalm of David, O Lord, almighty Heavenly Father, I am summoning you; do not be so stone-hearted, do not be deaf to my words, and it is because if you continue to be inaudible to everything I say, I will turn into one of those who move downwards into the trench. 

“LORD, you have seen this; do not be silent. Do not be far from me, Lord.”

And O Lord, almighty Heavenly Father of all mankind, you have witnessed it with your eyes, I implore you not to remain quiet; O holy God, I implore you not to stay very distant from me.

“Hear my prayer, LORD, listen to my cry for help; do not be deaf to my weeping. I dwell with you as a foreigner, a stranger, as all my ancestors were.”

Listen to my words of worship, O Heavenly Father, good Lord, pay little attention to my cries; do not keep your mouth shut during the times when I am shedding tears, and I say this to you because I am an outsider to you, I am a visitor to you like all my forefathers.

“A song. A psalm of Asaph. O God, do not remain silent; do not turn a deaf ear, do not stand aloof, O God.”

It is music, a Psalm of Asaph. O holy God, almighty Heavenly Father, do not keep your lips shut; I implore you not to remain quiet, and O Lord, I beg you not to stay motionless.

“For the director of music. Of David. A psalm. My God, whom I praise, do not remain silent”

For the managing director of the band of singers. A Psalm of David. O almighty Heavenly Father, good God of my applaud, I pray you, please do not keep your lips sealed.

“After all this, LORD, will you hold yourself back? Will you keep silent and punish us beyond measure?”

Will you keep yourself under control at these things, tell me O good God, almighty Heavenly Father? Will you keep your lips fastened and make us suffer immeasurably? 

“Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrongdoing. Why then do you tolerate the treacherous? Why are you silent while the wicked swallow up those more righteous than themselves?”

You have eyes that are fascinating and saintly to be told that you could ever assent to evil, and it is absolutely impossible for you to ever look on any act of immorality with approval. But tell me, why do you indulge in partiality with the ones who treat others perfidiously? Why do your lips seem to remain sealed when spiteful ones devour the more innocent ones? 

“He will guard the feet of his faithful servants, but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness. “It is not by strength that one prevails;”

He holds on to the feet of His faithful and devoted ones, but the immoral and sinful ones are deadened in the shadow; for the almighty Heavenly Father will never allow a man to predominate solely based on his physical strength.

“Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.”

And from the lips of the newborn and the nursing babies, you have derived your power because of your enemies to make the opponents and those full of vengeance come to an end.

“But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God will glory in him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced.”

But the king will find his happiness in the almighty Heavenly Father, all the men who take an oath by Him will attain splendor because all those who use their lips to utter lies will be damned.

“The upright see and rejoice, but all the wicked shut their mouths.”

The honest and righteous ones can witness it and feel delighted, but all evil and iniquity close its mouth.

“And like the heat of the desert. You silence the uproar of foreigners; as heat is reduced by the shadow of a cloud, so the song of the ruthless is stilled.”

Like the warmth in the dry spell, you gain the upper hand over the turmoil and hubbub of the outlandish; like the warmth by the silhouette of a cloud, the merciless tune is hushed. 

“Sit in silence, go into darkness, queen city of the Babylonians; no more will you be called queen of kingdoms.”

Be seated in silence and lead your way into the murk, O daughter of the Chaldeans, for you will no longer be known as the queen of the kingdoms.

“Moab will be praised no more; in Heshbon people will plot her downfall: “Come, let us put an end to that nation.’ You, the people of Madmen, will also be silenced; the sword will pursue you.”

You will not find any more appreciation for Moab; a disaster has been drawn up in opposition to her in Heshbon: come forward, and we shall break her off from becoming a whole country. You will also be shut out, Madmen, along with them; the dagger will accompany you later. 

“The LORD will destroy Babylon; he will silence her noisy din. Waves of enemies will rage like great waters; the roar of their voices will resound.”

And mark my words, the almighty Heavenly Father, the Lord of all nations, is planning to knock down Babylon, and he will make sure that her blaring uproar fades away from her. And their waves will bellow similar to that of a number of seas; the commotion in their voices are audible outside.

“Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together.”

But when it reached the ears of the Pharisees that the Son of God, Jesus Christ, had hushed the Sadducees, they assembled together and organized a gathering among themselves.

“Then Jesus asked them, “Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they remained silent.”

And the good God, the almighty Heavenly Father, asked them if it is permissible to carry out good deeds of bringing damage upon the Sabbath, to rescue the life of a man or to take away the life of a man? As a response to his question, they all kept their mouths sealed. 

“They were unable to trap him in what he had said there in public. And astonished by his answer, they became silent.”

And they could not get hold of Him, the almighty Heavenly Father, in a maxim in the attendance of the masses; and being astonished at the answer of the good Lord, their mouths were shut. 

“But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say.”

And witnessing the man standing on his feet, who had been cured in front of their eyes, they were simply out of words to pronounce as a reply. 

“Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.”

And at this point, we are aware that all the things that the Law says, it communicates to the ones who are under the heel of the Law so that the lips of each and every man on earth are tightly sealed, all the people of the world are held answerable to the creator of the universe, the almighty Heavenly Father.

“He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.”

The Son of God, Jesus Christ, was subjected to tyranny and oppression and he was made to suffer a lot, and even then he kept his lips sealed and did not protest against his miscreants; Just the way a lamb is escorted to be butchered, or the way a sheep is completely inaudible before it is being sheared, similarly the almighty Lord also did not open his mouth.

“But Jesus remained silent. The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.”

But the Son of God, Jesus Christ, kept his mouth shut and waited for the priest to clarify his doubts by himself. The superior clergyman told Him that he sincerely beseeched Jesus by the good God that is living, the Supreme Being, and he wanted to know if He was truly the descendant of the almighty Heavenly Father, known as Christ throughout the universe.
